US Presidential Election 2024: The US presidential election is getting interesting. US Vice President and Democratic Party's presidential candidate Kamala Harris has suffered a major setback. In three presidential surveys, she is facing a tough fight against former President and Republican Party's leading candidate Donald Trump and in all three surveys, Trump has a slight lead over Indian-origin Kamala Harris.
Pennsylvania is considered a key state in the US presidential election, and two surveys conducted here show Trump maintaining a narrow lead over Harris. In the third national survey, Harris is trailing Trump.
Pennsylvania has 19 electoral votes. According to a survey by Signal and Emerson College in this state, Trump is leading for the presidency. According to a survey of 800 likely voters conducted on August 14 and 15, Trump has 44% support, while Harris has 43% votes.
In this survey, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. got 5% marks. Apart from this, Signal and Emerson had conducted a survey in July in which Trump got 2% less marks than this time.
In another survey, Trump is ahead of Kamala Harris
An Emerson College poll of 1,000 likely voters in Pennsylvania for RealClearPennsylvania, conducted on August 13–14, also found that Trump received 49% of the vote compared to Harris's 48%.
When Kennedy was included in the survey, both Harris and Trump were tied at 47%, while independent candidates gained 3%.
Trump leads Harris in national polls
Trump is also ahead of Kamala Harris in national polls. A Neapolitan News Service poll of 2,708 likely voters conducted by RMG Research between August 12-14 also found Trump ahead of Harris by 1 point, with Harris receiving 45% of the vote to Trump's 46%.
On July 21, President Joe Biden announced that he was withdrawing from the presidential race and would endorse Kamala Harris. He said, 'Today I want to give Kamala my full support to be our party's nominee this year. Now is the time to come together and defeat Trump.
