Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD' has earned Rs 191.5 crore at the global box office on the first day.
With this, the film has become the biggest opening of this year. The film collected Rs 95 crore on its first day in India. As far as all languages are concerned, it collected Rs. 64.5 crore in Telugu, Rs. 24 crore in Hindi, Rs. 4 crore in Tamil, Rs. 2.2 crore in Malayalam and Rs. 30 lakh in Kannada. With this, the film became the third highest grossing film worldwide on its opening day, leaving behind films like 'Pathan', 'Adipurush' and 'KGF-2'. Only two films RRR and 'Baahubali-2' are ahead of it. 'Kalki 2898 AD' is Prabhas' fourth film in the list of highest grossing Indian films on the first day. Films like Prabhas' 'Bahubali-2', 'Saaho' and 'Adipurush' are already in this list, despite being released on a non-holiday, mid-week and on the day of the India World Cup semi-final match, 'Kalki' has earned such a huge amount. Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' is said to have a budget of around Rs 600 crore.
