The first look teaser of superstar Amitabh Bachchan's film 'Kalki 2898 AD' has been released. In this 1-minute teaser, Amitabh is seen in the role of Ashwatthama, son of Guru Dronacharya. In the teaser, Amitabh is seen talking to a small child, who asks him who he is. The child goes to Amitabha who is worshiping Lord Shiva and introduces himself. He says I am Rai. Who are you, is this a temple, are you God, on this Amitabh replies, 'Listen, my time has come. The time has come for my final battle. After this the child asks 'Who are you', then at the end of the teaser Amitabh says, 'I am Ashwatthama, son of Guru Drona, who is waiting for the 10th incarnation of Dwapar Yuga.' The most special scene of this one-minute teaser is the one in which the young look of Amitabh Bachchan is shown. The scene has been shot using de-aging technology, making it clear that the film will also show the story behind Amitabh's character Ashwatthama.
Apart from Amitabh, actors like Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani will also be seen in the film. The makers had released the teaser of the film at the San Diego Comic Con held in the US last year. The film was scheduled to release in multiple languages on May 9 this year but has been postponed. Although the makers have not yet announced its new release date, 'Kalki 2898 AD' is the most expensive film of the year made on a budget of Rs 600 crore. It is produced by famous Telugu cinema director Nag Ashwin.
