Kaithal, 26 August (HS). Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great pomp on Monday. The Krishna Leela was on Krishna devotees' lips throughout the day. Even small children were seen drenched in the love of Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna's swing was decorated in the temples. Devotees will keep coming to the temples till midnight to offer food to Shri Krishna.
The ancient Shri Gyarah Rudri temple in the city, Geeta Bhawan temple, Hanuman Vatika temple and Shiv Shakti Dham temple on Dhand Road and other Radha-Krishna temples have been decorated with colorful lights. There was a lot of pomp and show in the markets on Janmashtami. On the occasion of Shri Krishna's birth anniversary, small and big sized Laddu Gopal are captivating the devotees. This time Laddu Gopal is available in the market with special types of attractive decorations. There is a lot of demand for them among the people. In the markets, brass shaped Laddu Gopal is available from Rs 200 to Rs 4000 according to weight and size. Vinod Mittal, head of Shri Gyarah Rudri Shiv Mandir Sabha, said that the festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami has been celebrated for the last several years in the ancient Shri Gyarah Rudri Shiv temple of the Mahabharata period. This time too it is being celebrated with great pomp and show. For this, the temple Shri Bhagwat Katha has been organized in the temple premises for the last several days. In which Pandit Divya, who has come from Vrindavan, narrates the story with her sweet voice. Various types of tableaus will be put up in the temple on the birth of Shri Krishna and his pastimes. This will be the center of attraction. Kanha will be put on a swing at 7 am on Monday, which will continue till late night.

The evening Sankirtan being organised by Shri Krishna Kripa Seva Samiti on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami concluded on Monday. Devotees were very enthusiastic about the Sankirtan that was being organised for the last 21 days. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the 21st day of Sankirtan was organised at Udham Singh Colony, the residence of Praveen Verma and Sonu Verma. Mahamandaleshwar Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj arrived to bless the devotees in today's Sankirtan. He told the devotees that Yashoda Nandan and Devaki Putra have been worshipped in the Indian society for centuries in the name of Krishna. On the basis of logic, Krishna is such a lone hero in whom all aspects of life are present. Krishna is that book. We get many such teachings from this which teach us to maintain positive thinking even in adverse circumstances. The entire life story of Shri Krishna is seen in many forms.
