K.A.P. Sinha took charge as the 43rd Chief Secretary of Punjab, said – time to return the immense love received from the people of Punjab.

Chandigarh: 1992 batch IAS of Punjab cadre. Officer K.A.P. Sinha took charge as the 43rd Chief Secretary of the state on Thursday. He assumed the new post today in the Punjab Civil Secretariat in the presence of senior civil officials. Shri Sinha will have the additional charge of Principal Secretary Personnel, General Administration and Vigilance along with the present post of Chief Secretary.

Speaking after assuming office as the new Chief Secretary, Mr. Sinha said that while serving in various posts and departments, he has received immense love and respect from the state of Punjab and its people and today, after assuming the new post, he will give the same to the people of Punjab. It is my belief that now the time has come for him to return this honor which he will do by serving Punjabis with full dedication for the welfare of Punjab.

Sinha further said that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will continue to provide clean and transparent citizen services to the residents of the state by giving priority to the overall development of the state. The public welfare schemes launched by the government will be implemented more effectively at the grassroots level.

Senior administrative officers were present on the occasion of Mr. Sinha assuming charge today, including Vikas Pratap, Alok Shekhar, D.K. Tiwari, Tejveer Singh, Jaspreet Talwar, Dilip Kumar, Bhavana Garg, Ajoy Sharma, Gurkeerat Kripal Singh, VN Zade, Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, Malvinder Singh Jaggi, Abhinav Trikha, Ramveer, Sonali Giri, Keshav Hingonia, Surbhi Malik, Harpreet Singh Sudan, Jaspreet Singh, Rahul, Baldeep Kaur, Neeru Katyal Gupta were included.

All the officers including President of IAS Officers Association Tejveer Singh shared their experiences of working in various departments and field postings with the newly appointed Chief Secretary Shri Sinha and assured that they will work as a team for the betterment of the people of the State. do.

It is noteworthy that K.E.P. Sinha was currently working as Special Chief Secretary Development cum Financial Commissioner Revenue. Earlier he has held important departments like Finance, Taxation, Food and Civil Supplies, Higher Education, Environment and Science Technology, Parliamentary Affairs, General State Administration. He has also worked in important ministries in the Government of India like Ministry of External Affairs, Industry and Commerce, Atomic Energy. He has participated in many national and international conferences.

He has served as Deputy Commissioner of Bathinda and Gurdaspur during field posting in Punjab.

Sinha has done Post Graduation in Economics, LLM. And B.Tech. (Mining Engineering)
