New Delhi, 17 October (HS). Supreme Court Justice Sanjiv Khanna will take oath as the Chief Justice of the country on November 11. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud has formally recommended his name to the Center as his successor. Chief Justice Chandrachud will retire on November 10.
Justice Sanjeev Khanna is the second senior most judge. He will take oath as the 51st Chief Justice on November 11. Justice Sanjiv Khanna was appointed a judge in the Supreme Court in 2019. Before that he was a judge of Delhi High Court. Justice Sanjiv Khanna's tenure as Chief Justice will be from November 11 to May 13, 2025.
