Traffic Rules: Drivers who have a habit of breaking traffic rules should pay attention and correct their habit immediately. Otherwise, one day your vehicle registration and permit will get canceled. Along with revoking the driving license (DL), the traffic police searched the vehicles continuously breaking the rules in Gorakhpur city and their number turned out to be 21. All these vehicles were found breaking traffic rules 12 or more times and moving at high speed in the city. This also includes scooters and buses. Two scooter riders were found who had a record of breaking traffic rules. One has been challaned 89 times so far and the other has been challaned 80 times. The traffic department has now written a letter to the RTO to cancel the registration and DL of all these vehicles and their owners/drivers.

In the letter written by SP Traffic, it has been told that during the investigation of the vehicles challaned so far, 21 such vehicles have been identified whose vehicle owners/drivers are repeatedly violating the traffic rules. They have been challaned many times but still no improvement is visible. He has requested to take action to cancel the registration/permit and driving license of such vehicles. Besides, details of those vehicles and the number of times they have been challaned till now have also been given.

Repeated challan from scooter to bus: According to the letter of the traffic department, out of 21 vehicles, four are autos, in which one auto has been challaned 69 times. Apart from this, one auto has been challaned 18 times, two other autos 12-12 times and one e-rickshaw has been challaned 13 times. Five buses have been challaned 56, 45, 42, 31 and 28 times respectively. Out of the three cars, two have been challaned 18 times each and one has been challaned 16 times. Of the two scooties, one was challaned 89 times and the other 80 times. Five motorcycles have been challaned 66, 24, 29, 47 and 18 times respectively.

What did the traffic police say?

SP Traffic Sanjay Kumar said that a letter has been sent to the RTO to cancel the licenses/registration of 21 vehicles. Action will continue against vehicles continuously violating rules.
