Ranchi, 28 October (Hindustan Reporter). The Jharkhand High Court heard on Monday the petition filed by Prasila Soren and others against the appointment of short-term teachers and call-based teachers in the universities of the state. After hearing all the parties in the case, the single bench of the High Court reserved the decision. During the hearing, the Secretary of Higher Education and Technical Education and the Registrar of State Universities were physically present in the court.
Higher Education Secretary Rahul Purwar told the court that the application sent by the universities for roster clearance of associate professors and professors will be given clearance by the state government. On behalf of JPSC, advocate Sanjay Piprawal told the court that JPSC will complete the timeline set by the court to complete the appointment process of Assistant Professor. The action has been taken in the light of the requisition sent by the university for Assistant Professor.
Earlier, by filing affidavits on behalf of the universities of the state, information was given about the vacant posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the light of the sanctioned posts there. Besides, information was also given regarding the requisition sent by them to JPSC to fill the vacancies. During the hearing, the court said that in the universities which run under the university regulation, the court can set a time line for the appointment of Assistant Professor, Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, so that the appointment process can be completed as soon as possible.
In the last hearing, in the light of the court's order, the Vice Chancellor (VC), Registrar and Higher Education Secretary of 12 universities of the state were physically present in the court.
