JPSC has released vacancies for 170 Rangers and 78 Assistant Forest Conservators

Ranchi, July 29 (HS). Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has released a large number of vacancies in the Forest Department. The recruitment process is starting from July 29. JPSC has started the recruitment process for 170 posts of Forest Area Officer and 78 posts of Assistant Forest Conservator. Online applications have been sought from the candidates for both the posts from July 29 to August 10. JPSC has announced the date of PT exam. Preliminary exam will be held on August 18 for the post of Forest Area Officer and Assistant Forest Conservator. The Forest Area Officer exam will be held from 10 am to 12 noon. At the same time, the Assistant Forest Conservator exam will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. There will be objective questions in PT which will be of 150 marks related to general studies.

The commission has announced that if there are less than 10 times the number of candidates than the number of posts, then the main examination will be conducted directly. For selection in this, the candidates will have to pass preliminary examination, main examination, interview, physical test, medical test. For both the posts, graduation in any one of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Zoology, Mathematics, Geology, Physics, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science or an engineering degree in any one of Civil, Mechanical or Chemical is mandatory.
