Akhilesh Yadav: The political atmosphere has once again heated up in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan. Akhilesh Yadav remained adamant on paying tribute at JP Centre. The government deployed a large number of police personnel to prevent them from entering the campus. After this Akhilesh Yadav left the house. Before him, the workers reached there with the statue of JP and Akhilesh garlanded the statue of JP on the road itself.

After this, Akhilesh Yadav addressed the SP workers present there and said, 'We will celebrate JP's birthday, for how long will you (government) stop us. JPNIC was maintained and constructed by the government and was set to open to the public, with over Rs 70 crore paid to a preferred contractor, however the construction work is not yet completed. This means there is something hidden in JPNIC. He wants to sell it. If he has made arrangements not to go to JPNIC, then we have also made arrangements to celebrate JPG Jayanti on the road. JPNIC's investigation report will never come out because its people are involved in it. Akhilesh Yadav said that the government wants to sell JPNIC. The conspiracy is that the government wants to earn profit by selling the world class building. The government which could not save the poor from the wolves. This government could not help the poor. Why is this government worrying about our health, saying that there are scorpions. Don't worry about us, there are scorpions in this government.

We are celebrating the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan by visiting the JPNIC museum but I don't know why the government is stopping us today. Not allowing garland to be offered. BJP has stopped every good work but today if we are standing on the road and remembering Jayaprakash Narayan, then this government wants to stop us from garlanding but here we garlanded the road itself.

The building built in the name of Jayaprakash Narayan has been hidden because there is some conspiracy behind it. The conspiracy is that they want to sell it. What can be expected from a museum which is being sold by such a government? The people of Samajwadi Party have been celebrating his birth anniversary every year and will continue to celebrate. We will go there and work to honor Bharat Ratna Jayaprakash Narayan.

Traffic has been stopped by barricading outside Akhilesh Yadav's house. Apart from the police force deployed for the security of Akhilesh Yadav, no one is allowed to come and go. On the road leading to the residence of the SP President, the police have barricaded the road for about 200 meters on both sides.

Why is there an uproar in Lucknow over JPNIC and JP's legacy? What are the advantages and disadvantages of SP-Yogi government?

Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav was of the opinion that a memorial should be built in Lucknow in the name of Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan. All the preparations for this had been done but even before this the work of this center started but Mulayam Singh's government left. After which Mayawati's new government was formed and this dream remained unfulfilled. In 2012, when Akhilesh Yadav's government came to power in UP, he took a big step towards fulfilling the dream of his father Mulayam Singh Yadav and decided to build it in a part of Lohia Park in Lucknow. The park belonged to Lucknow Development Authority, hence the responsibility of construction of this center was also given to it.

JP submitted a report to the CAG regarding the Centre, in which many shocking claims were made. In which it was claimed that many works were done without tender. Several LDA officials, including two IAS officers, traveled to China to see the centre's AC system. The construction of JPNIC stopped after Yogi Adityanath government came to power in 2017. The matter also went to the High Court but the uproar still continued. The task of building it was entrusted by the Akhilesh government to Shalimar Company, whose chairman Sanjay Seth is now a Rajya Sabha MP of BJP. He was then the treasurer of Samajwadi Party.
