Patiala: A 10-year-old girl died after her health deteriorated after eating birthday cake, while five members of her family are hospitalized. In this regard, Anaj Mandi police station has registered a case against a bakery located on Yellow Road. According to the family members of deceased Manvi, a cake was cut on the night of 24 March to celebrate Manvi's birthday. The cake was ordered online. Five members of the family fell ill after eating it. Two girls started vomiting. Late at night Manvi asked her grandmother for water twice and drank it and went to sleep but did not wake up again. When the family saw him in the morning, his body was cold. Anaj Mandi police station chief Gurmeet Singh said that on the complaint of the family, a case has been registered against the unknown bakery owner. The real cause of death will be known after the post mortem report.
The girl's family alleges that after the girl's death, they went to the health department office to check the cake, but no hearing took place. The girl's mother Kajal told that March 24 was the girl's birthday. So ordered the cake online. At seven in the evening the cake was cut and everyone had dinner, after which the health of the family started deteriorating. Seeing Manvi's health deteriorating, they took her to the hospital at four in the morning, where doctors declared her dead.
