Joint Higher Education Secretary exempted from appearance, asked to make government a party

Jaipur, 29 February (Hindustan Reporter). The Rajasthan High Court has asked the state government to be made a party in the case related to not taking action on the approval sent by the university to the state government for payment of pension benefits to the retired employees of Rajasthan University. Along with this, the court has accepted the application submitted by the state government for exemption from the presence of the Joint Higher Education Secretary. Justice Sameer Jain gave this order on the petition of Mohanlal Gupta.

During the hearing, AAG Bhuvnesh Sharma said that the court had called the Joint Higher Education Secretary, but he had gone out of the city for a social program. In such a situation, they should be exempted from attendance. Along with this, documents related to the pension benefits of the petitioner were presented by the state government. On this, the court postponed the hearing of the case till March 13 and asked the petitioner to make the state government a party in the case.

It has been said in the petition that he had retired from the post of clerk from Rajasthan University in 2017. The university has not yet paid him his pension benefits. It was revealed from the university that they have sent the matter of his pension benefits to the state government for approval and no action is being taken there. On which the petitioner filed a petition in the High Court requesting him to get pension, gratuity and other benefits.
