JMM seeks approval from Election Commission for star campaigners

Ranchi, 21 October (HS). JMM has decided its star campaigner for Jharkhand assembly elections. A total of 33 leaders including the party's main star campaigner, central president and MP Shibu Soren have been included.

Shibu Soren will lead the campaign in various assembly constituencies of Jharkhand. Apart from this, leaders like Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, Stephen Marandi, Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, Baijnath Ram, Mathura Prasad Mahato, Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Baby Mahato, Sukhram Oraon have also been included. Apart from MPs Vijay Hansda, Joba Manjhi, Mahua Maji, names of party leaders Abhishek Pintu, Raju Giri, Sunil Srivastava, spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya and others have also been included in the list. Party General Secretary Vinod Pandey has also appealed to the Election Commission of India to approve the star campaigner list and issue passes for allowing the vehicles used by them to operate within Jharkhand.
