Dhanbad, 26 September (HS). Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached Dhanbad on Thursday for BJP's Parivartan Yatra. During this, he took a dig at Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and said, JMM means Jharkar Malai Maaro. While addressing the Parivartan Mahasabha, he not only mentioned the welfare schemes being run by the central government, but also lashed out at the opposition parties.

Rajnath said about Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren at the golf ground of Koyalanchal Dhanbad, the Chief Minister is the leader of the state and that Chief Minister had to go to jail and that too on corruption charges. He said that politics does not work like this. Politics runs on public shame and dignity. He also targeted Rahul Gandhi. He also said that he (Rahul Gandhi) is constantly working to tarnish India's image by going abroad. He said that even though Congress has ruled India for a long time, but whenever our government (BJP) went abroad, it worked to make India proud.

Rajnath, while blaming the opposition, quoted a speech of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and said that he (Rajiv Gandhi) had said that if we send 100 rupees from the treasury for the public, then hardly 15 rupees reach the common man and 85 rupees are lost to corruption. He said that despite that, the Congress never made any effort to curb corruption, whereas Narendra Modi's government had made clear its intention to crack down on corruption in its very first cabinet meeting. This is the reason that today if our government sends 100 rupees from the center for the needy, then every single rupee reaches the pockets of those needy people.

Rajnath said that if the 'One Nation One Election' system is implemented in the country, then Rs 4 lakh crore of people's hard earned money will be saved. Regarding farmers, he said that our government is providing financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand every year to every small and marginal farmer of the country under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. In the end, he appealed to the people of Dhanbad by making Dhanbad MP Dhullu Mahato and Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha stand in front of him and said that if the people of Dhanbad make BJP win all the six seats of Dhanbad in the upcoming assembly elections and BJP government is formed in Jharkhand, then he will once again come to Dhanbad and bow his head and express gratitude to the people here.

Earlier, Rajnath reached the airport in Barwada, Dhanbad directly by helicopter. During this, BJP state president Babulal Marandi was also present. Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, former MP Pashupati Nath Singh, former Mayor Chandrashekhar Agarwal, MP Deepak Prakash, MP Dhulu Mahato and MLA Raj Sinha along with other BJP leaders were present on the stage.
