JMM accused BJP of discriminating against Jharkhand

Ranchi, June 10 (HS). Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya has accused the BJP of discriminating against Jharkhand. He said that Jharkhand has been neglected in the Modi cabinet. Supriyo also raised questions on making Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth a Union Minister and said that an MP has been made a minister who has never raised a question in the Parliament about the closed HEC.

Bhattacharya was speaking at a press conference at the party office in Harmu on Monday. He accused the BJP of ignoring and disrespecting NDA's ally AJSU. He also said that one MP from each party in the NDA was given ministerial posts but AJSU's Chandraprakash Choudhary, who became MP again after winning the Lok Sabha elections from Giridih, was not given a ministerial post.

Bhattacharya said that AJSU is an old ally of BJP in the state. AJSU is a local party. It should have been given a ministerial post at the center. He said that Jharkhand did not get the rights and respect it should have got. Jharkhand should have got a fair share in the council of ministers for implementing Sarna Dharma Code, 27 percent reservation for backward classes and caste census, but it did not get it. Was there no son of the soil here?
