Jind, 7 May (Hindustan Reporter) Sadar police station Safidon police on Tuesday registered a case against two people under various sections including fraud for duping two people of Rs 21 lakh 86 thousand on the pretext of sending them to Australia.
In the complaint given to the police, Randhir, resident of village Muana, told that his son Pradyuman and son-in-law Nikhil, resident of village Maglai, wanted to go abroad. They came to know that Mohali residents Suman and Gurdeep Cali run an office in the name of immigration. Who send youth abroad. On which he contacted Suman in May 2023. Who called him to his office in Mohali, where Gurdeep was also found. A demand of Rs 36 lakh was made in the name of sending it to Australia. On which the accused also took the documents. On August 18, 2023, the accused deposited Rs 36 thousand in the name of embassy expenses and sent a one-year tourist visa on WhatsApp. Till August 31, 2023, the accused took Rs 21 lakh 86 thousand from him. Late at night he got a call to reach Delhi airport and was informed about the flight to Australia on 1 November 2023 in the morning. On reaching Delhi airport, Gurdeep was found there.
Where he was asked to take Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and exchange dollars and go to Terminal 3. When he reached Terminal 3, his visa was declared fake. On which he contacted Gurdeep and said that he would come after some time. Despite this Gurdeep did not reach there. On which both returned home. When the accused were asked to return the money, they refused to give the amount and threatened to face dire consequences. Giving information on Tuesday, Sanjay, the investigating officer of Sadar police station Safidon, said that on the complaint of Randhir, Sadar police station Safidon has registered a case against Mohali residents Suman and Gurdeep under various sections including fraud.
