Jind, August 12 (HS). Farmers sent a memorandum from the SDM office to DC Jind on Monday to open the canal water supply in Rajbaha. Farmers of Uchana Kalan, Gurukul Kheda, Sudkain Kalan, Mandi, Lodhar, Karsindhu, Ghaso, Baroda said that due to lack of rain, the crops are drying up due to lack of water in the fields.
Due to the sowing of the fields not being done properly, the farmers are not getting water for their crops. Feeding channels of all the villages should be started on Barsola feeder, Sudkain distributor. For the last several days, we have been demanding the administration to start the feeding channels but no one is listening to us. If feeding channels are not started on the demand of the farmers, then the farmers will be forced to take a big step and even block the roads because their crops are getting spoiled. Farmer leader Sikkim Safa Khedi said that without water, the crops of the farmers are drying up. The farmers are upset due to lack of rain. The canal department should open the feeding channels of canal water in the Rajbaha so that the farmers can irrigate their crops. Raja, Vijay, Manjeet, Shravan, Sachin, Raghubir were present on this occasion.
