Jind: Employees expressed anger over not restoring old pension in the budget

Jind, 24 February (HS). The meeting of Pension Restoration Struggle Committee was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of District Head Jogendra Lohan and Women Wing Head Anuradha Gupta. Sajjan Rathi moderated the stage in the meeting while Anoop Lather, Senior Vice President of the State Executive and Disciplinary Committee Chairman Wazir Gangoli participated.

In the meeting, the employees expressed their anger over the Chief Minister not restoring the old pension in the budget session and decided that if the government does not restore the old pension till the Model Code of Conduct is implemented, then like in Himachal Pradesh, the employees will start the Vote for OPS campaign at home. Will be taken home and the pension movement will be intensified. The entire responsibility of which will be of the government. He said that pension restoration struggle committee Haryana has been continuously conducting dharnas, demonstrations, rallies and hunger strikes for the last five years.

After a meeting of the committee on March 3, 2023, no meeting has been called by the government nor is any appropriate step being taken towards the restoration of OPS. Due to which there is huge anger against the government among lakhs of employees and officers of the state. He said that the OPS movement in the state is being strengthened at the village level by the committee and teams have been formed in more than 5200 villages. While the government is giving the slogan of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, the employees are being given step-motherly treatment.

There is a lot of anger among all the employees of the state due to the negative attitude of the coalition government on the restoration of OPS and the breach of promise made by the Deputy Chief Minister on the restoration of OPS. Many employee leaders including Neeti Sukhija, Dalbir Goria, Vikram Mehra, Vikas Khatkar, Harish Sharma, Bijendra Karela, Vijaypal Fauji, Anirudh Sharma, Sandeep Pahal were mainly present in the meeting.
