Jind, 26 April (Hindustan Reporter). DC Mohammad Imran Raza was seen in action mode on Friday regarding wheat lifting. DC gave strict instructions to the transporters and unloading point contractors in the warehouses that all the wheat should be lifted from Uchana Mandi, Chhatar, Ghoghadiya within two days. If there is no lifting, he will not visit after the stipulated time, but will take strictest action against the concerned agency and contractor.
DC said that it does not matter how many vehicles of the transporter are on the portal. Wheat should be lifted within the given time. All the unloading points in the warehouses should be complete. The contractor who is responsible for labor in the warehouses at the unloading point should provide all the labor there and start all the unloading points in the warehouses. No excuse of any kind will be acceptable regarding labour.
Meanwhile, the DC held a meeting with procurement agency officials, market commission agents, transporters and labor contractors in warehouses at the Market Committee Uchana office on Friday afternoon. Brokers told that sometimes the lifting is slowing down due to shortage of vehicles and sometimes due to lack of labor in the warehouses. DC directed the transporters to speed up the lifting work as well as to start unloading at all points in the warehouses.
