Champawat (Lohaghat), September 11 (HS). The Jhuma festival organized in Lohaghat has concluded. On Wednesday, special prayers were offered in the temples of Patan Patni and Raikot Maher villages and after that the palanquin of Maa Jhumadhuri Devi reached Jhumadhuri temple. The two-day Jhumadhuri fair concluded peacefully.
With the chanting of Maa's praises, Maa Jhumadhuri Devi's Rath Yatra started from Gram Sabha Patan Patni and Raikot village on Tuesday. This Yatra crossed the difficult hills with the help of ropes and shoulders amid pleasant weather and reached the temple complex of Maa Jhumadhuri situated on the high peak with faith and devotion. The entire area was drowned in the flow of devotion.
In the afternoon, the Devi Rath, which started from Paldevti temple of Gram Sabha Patan village, Raikot Mahar village, was decorated in a beautiful manner and with loud cheers, the people crossed the very difficult steep paths and took it to the Maa Jhumadhuri temple situated on the high peak with the help of ropes.
Devotees of all age groups were busy pulling the ropes and carrying the mother's palanquin, immersed in devotion to the mother. Women gathered at various places on the route of the chariots and worshipped the chariots with whole rice and flowers.
Umesh Chandra Patni and Dhan Singh Patni were seated in the chariot of Patan village as the incarnation of Maa Bhagwati and Radhika Devi was seated in the chariot from Raikot Maher as the incarnation of Maa Kalika. Dev Dangars riding in the chariot blessed the devotees with the tail of the Chanvar cow and rice grains. Dev Dangars walking along with the chariot removed the troubles of the devotees.
Women sang auspicious songs based on deities. Youths chanted slogans in praise of the mother. The two-day Jhumadhuri fair concluded peacefully. Fair committee president Mohan Patni, Prakash Singh Bohra, Subhash Vishwakarma, Shashank Pandey, Kamal Kuletha, Hem Patni, Ganga Singh Patni etc. were present.
