Ranchi, June 22 (HS). The Jharkhand High Court on Saturday heard the petition of the then Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar, Manjunath, seeking cancellation of the zero FIR lodged in Delhi against stopping MP Nishikant Dubey at Deoghar Airport while going to Delhi by plane in August 2022. The High Court has continued the stay on the harassment action against the petitioner Manjunath till further orders. In the case, the court has sought a reply from the petitioner on some points.
In fact, during the earlier hearing, the court was told by the Central Government that the zero FIR registered in Delhi has been handed over to the Jharkhand Police. MP Nishikant Dubey has alleged that on the evening of August 31, 2022, he was going to Delhi by plane. Meanwhile, on the orders of the then Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar Manjunath, security personnel stopped him at Deoghar Airport and also threatened to kill him. Nishikant Dubey has also accused them of obstructing his government work. The petitioner said that all the allegations leveled against him are baseless. Therefore, the related zero FIR should be canceled.
