Ranchi, March 11 (HS). The public interest litigation filed by Shyamanand Pandey in the Jharkhand High Court was heard on Monday. The division bench of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Arun Kumar Rai passed an interim order directing the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of Ranchi and other districts of the state to stop illegal slaughter of animals and open display of meat on the roadside. .
The court asked the Ranchi Municipal Corporation and the state government as to what action has been taken to implement the regulation of covering animal meat in shops with black glass doors and curtains? Advocate Shubham Kataruka presented his case before the division bench on behalf of the petitioner. The next hearing of the case will be on April 3.
