Ranchi, August 31 (HS). The election of Jharkhand Chamber (session 2024-25) will be held on September 22 at Gurunanak School Auditorium. Voting will run from 9 am to 5 pm. Candidates will be able to file nominations till 4 pm on September 9 and 10. The date for withdrawal of nomination is till 4 pm on September 12. After this the final list of candidates will be published.
Election officer Lalit Kedia said that as per the company law, it is mandatory for the candidates to provide the Dean number along with the nomination form. In case of not having the Dean number, the application will be rejected. No extra time will be given to the candidates to submit the Dean. Candidates can campaign till September 20. Campaigning will be completely prohibited after 10 pm on September 20.
Co-chairman of the election Anchal Kinger said that a total of 3909 voters will participate in the election. According to the Chamber's membership list, there are 3656 life members, 156 general members, 83 affiliated organizations, 11 corporate members and three patron members. He has appealed to the general, corporate and affiliated organizations that if the membership fee dues are pending, they should pay it before the election. In case of pending dues, the member can be denied voting. Every member has the right to cast one vote. Only affiliated organizations have the right to cast two votes.
