Jharkhand assembly election dates announced, voting will be held in 2 phases

The Election Commission has announced the dates of Jharkhand Assembly elections. Voting will take place on November 13 and November 20. Counting of votes will take place on November 23. There are 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand. There are 2.6 crore voters here. Voting will take place at 29 thousand 562 polling stations in Jharkhand. Out of which 24 thousand 520 booths will be in rural areas.

Before announcing the election dates, the Chief Election Commissioner said, “We recently visited these two states (Maharashtra and Jharkhand). Had a meeting with the officials. Took stock there. The elderly will have the facility to vote sitting at home.

2.6 crore voters in Jharkhand

The Chief Election Commissioner said that there are 2.6 crore voters in Jharkhand. In this, 1.14 lakh voters will vote for the first time. The number of polling stations in the state will be 29 thousand 562. The number of urban polling stations will be more than 5 thousand.

By-elections on 47 assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats

Along with the announcement of the dates of Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections, the Election Commission has also announced the dates of by-elections for 47 assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats in different states of the country. In which by-elections will be held on 47 assembly seats on November 13. Voting for the by-election on Kedarnath seat will be held on November 20. By-elections will be held on November 20 for Wayanad, Kerala and Nanded Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.
