In which a total of 6 teams including Prayagraj Division, Jhansi Division, Agra Division, Jhansi Workshop, Railway Protection Force and Headquarters team are participating. Jhansi Workshop won the inaugural match of the inter-divisional cricket competition by defeating RPF by eight wickets.
The competition was inaugurated by Additional General Manager Joginder Singh Lakra in the presence of Pratap Singh Principal Chief Material Manager and Vice President North Central Railway Sports Association and Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer Planning BP Singh. In the match played on Monday at Railgaon Subedarganj ground, RPF won the toss and scored 94 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs (Naresh Dhankar 45, Jitendra Sharma 3-15, Anil Jacob 2-15, Rohit Kumar 2-18, Pradeep Singh 2-18. ) made. In reply, Jhansi Workshop scored 97 runs for two wickets (JP Singh 40 not out, Sachin Shivhare 26, Kunal Goswami 23, Avnish Yadav 1-14, Ram Babu Singh 1-25) in 16.5 overs. Mohammad Arif and Rahul Singh umpired and Khurshid Ahmed scored in the match.
Additional General Manager Joginder Singh Lakra said that sports are very beneficial for us. Because they teach us punctuality, patience, discipline, teamwork and dedication. Playing teaches us to build and improve our confidence levels. It teaches us team spirit, which helps us to deal with difficult situations and all problems easily by working together. He said that more than 80 players from 6 teams are participating in it. Some will struggle to write the script of victory for their respective teams with their performance. Some teams will win and some will lose but this competition will give something to everyone. Achievement to the winners and learning to the losers as well as the passion to do better.
