Jhansi, 5 November (Hindustan Reporter). Jhansi Railway Board is making continuous efforts to provide better service to the passengers, as a result of which railway revenue is also increasing. Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Jhansi Deepak Kumar Sinha and under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Aman Verma, the ticket checking team of the Commerce Department earned a revenue of Rs 1.63 crore in the month of October 2024.
In Jhansi Railway Division, efforts are not only being made to stop irregular passengers, passengers without ticket, unbooked luggage, smoking and littering, but continuous efforts are being made to earn maximum income from various income sources. In October 2024, the ticket checking team of the Commerce Department has imposed a fine of Rs. 1000 on passengers found without tickets, irregular tickets, unbooked luggage, smoking and littering. Revenue of Rs 1.63 crore was collected.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Aman Verma said that in future too, the division will regularly conduct intensive ticket checking at railway stations and reserved and unreserved passenger trains so that the travel of ticketless and unauthorized passengers can be curbed. He appealed to all the passengers to travel only with valid tickets.
