Jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh and cash worth Rs 1.15 lakh stolen from a home guard's house in Hazaribagh

Hazaribagh, July 9 (HS). Jewelleries worth about five lakh rupees, cash worth 1.15 lakh rupees and land papers were stolen from the house of Home Guard jawan Vijay Kumar Pandey, resident of Harli Bela Beltaul in Barkagaon police station area on Monday night. In this regard, a case (Case No. 184/24) was registered in Barkagaon police station on Tuesday on the application of Vivek Kumar Pandey, son of Home Guard jawan Vijay Kumar Pandey. Police is investigating the matter.

According to the registered case, jewellery worth about five lakhs including gold maangtika, nose ring, necklace, earrings, bracelet, tops, silver anklet, toe ring, waist belt, cash worth 1.15 lakh, a mobile, brass utensils worth about 30 thousand rupees and land related documents have been stolen. The home guard's family lives in Hazaribagh. The house in the village was locked.
