Jamshedpur, May 24 (HS). On Friday, at 1:45 pm, masked robbers on a bike fled from MB Jewelers showroom near Sonari Aerodrome after looting two lakh cash and jewellery worth about 50 lakh rupees at gunpoint. On receiving the information, officials of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce reached the spot and gathered information.
Shop owner Rishabh Jain informed the police about this. Rishabh told that he was in the shop. Two staff members and a customer were also present in the shop. Then three youths entered the shop and asked to show the jewellery. Seeing the activities of the youths, he refused to show the jewellery. Meanwhile, the youths asked to see a silver ring. As soon as the ring was shown, all three took out their weapons. One youth had a carbine. All three looted the jewellery and cash in the shop at gunpoint and fled with the bike parked outside in 15 minutes.
City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat said that after the incident, the police has started identifying the criminals. The police is identifying the criminals with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the shop and nearby areas.
