Nawada, July 25 (HS). A jeep was seized with 11 sacks of Abhrakh on Thursday near Jhalakdiha village of Sawaiyatan Panchayat of Rajauli police station area of Nawada district.
In this regard, Ranger Manoj Kumar said that secret information was received that mica is being loaded in a jeep near Jhalakdiha village of Sawaiyatan. In light of the information, a patrolling team was dispatched. Seeing the Forest Department's patrolling party arriving, the mica mafia abandoned the jeep and fled. During the search of the jeep, 11 sacks of mica were recovered, after which the said jeep was seized and brought to the Rajauli Forest Department.
An FIR has been lodged against the jeep owner under the Forest Act. During patrolling, many forest workers including Forest Officer Pankaj Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Forest Guard Sugreev Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Ranjan Kumar were present.
