JDU worker beaten to death, land dispute was going on

Bihar Sharif 3 June (HS). A JDU worker was beaten to death on Tuesday in Parwalpur of CM's home district Nalanda. The deceased worker is Anil Kumar, son of late Brahmadev Prasad.

The worker appears to have been murdered by attacking him with a sharp weapon. It is said that the incident took place while he was going to defecate. After getting information about the incident, the local police station sent the body to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

Nalanda Superintendent of Police Ashok Mishra said that the matter of land dispute is coming to the fore. Police is investigating every angle. Whoever is guilty will not be spared. However, this case is being linked to election rivalry. Relatives said that Anil had become a polling agent during the Lok Sabha elections. After this, some people of the village had threatened him and today he was brutally murdered.

According to the information, Anil had gone to the field for defecation on Monday morning. Where half a dozen miscreants from the village, who were lying in wait, attacked him with a spear and he was brutally killed by piercing the spear at various places on his body. After getting information about the incident, JDU candidate Kaushalendra Kumar reached Sadar Hospital and consoled the family members of the deceased.

He said that Anil Kumar was a true worker of JDU. He had also become a polling agent, after which some people had threatened him and today he has been murdered by the same people. My condolences are with the family. The wife of the deceased said that there is a dispute going on within the family regarding 4 bigha land. Now the matter will be clear only after police investigation.
