JDU, LJP (R)…how many ministers from which party in Modi cabinet?, finally the formula has been formed

Lok Sabha Election Result 2024: Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time along with his cabinet at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the evening of 9 June. NDA leaders have made a formula for who will be included in the Union Cabinet from Bihar. It is worth noting that apart from BJP and JDU in Bihar, NDA includes Chirag Paswan's party LJP (R), Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Upendra Kushwaha's party Rashtriya Lok Morcha. However, RLM could not win the Karakat seat, from where its leader Upendra Kushwaha was the NDA candidate.

How many ministers will each party have from Bihar?

According to reports, ministers will be appointed at the centre on the basis of the formula on which the council of ministers has been formed in the Bihar government. As many BJP MPs will become ministers from Bihar, the same number of JDU MPs will also become ministers. JDU and BJP will select their MPs for ministerial posts according to different caste equations. For example, if a Yadav MP is made a minister from BJP's quota, then no Yadav MP from JDU will become a minister. LJP and HAM will get 1 ministerial post each. NDA has won 30 out of 40 seats in Bihar. This includes 12 seats of BJP, 12 of JDU, 5 of LJP (R) and 1 seat of HAM (Secular).

Representation of Bihar-Andhra will increase in the Centre!

Bihar and Andhra Pradesh may get more representation in the new cabinet led by Narendra Modi. However, the representation of Uttar Pradesh may decrease in the new cabinet, as the BJP's seats here have reduced by 29 seats. In the second term of the Modi government, there were 13 MP ministers from Uttar Pradesh in the 72-member council of ministers. Some of these ministers like Smriti Irani, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Sanjeev Baliyan, Kaushal Kishore have faced defeat this time.

The number of ministers may be less than Maharashtra-Uttar Pradesh

This time in Maharashtra, the NDA could win only 17 out of 48 seats, whereas in 2019 the NDA had won 42 seats. According to sources, the Janata Dal (United), which has 12 MPs in the Lok Sabha and 4 in the Rajya Sabha, wants the Railways, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj departments under the NDA government at the Center. JDU Rajya Sabha MPs also include Sanjay Kumar Jha, who was with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the meeting of NDA leaders.

These JDU MPs can become ministers at the Centre

Ramnath Thakur, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoor Thakur, was also present in the NDA meeting. Harivansh is one of the four Rajya Sabha MPs of JDU and he is not a contender for the ministerial post because he is the Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha. The JDU MPs who can be made ministers at the Center include Rajiv Ranjan and Kaushalendra Kumar. It is worth noting that Rajiv Ranjan has won from Munger, while Kaushalendra Kumar has won from Nalanda. HAM (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi has been elected to the Lok Sabha from Gaya and he can also get a place in the Modi government.

Chirag Paswan can become a minister

Chirag Paswan of Lok Janshakti Party (R) may get a seat in the matrimonial assembly. Lok Janshakti Party (R) has won five seats in Bihar. In the NDA parliamentary party meeting, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar supported the name of Narendra Modi as the leader of the NDA.
