Janjgir: Training of all 106 enumerators and 15 supervisors of the district at the district level | News India


Janjgir Champa, 4 September (HS). Under the direction of Collector Akash Chikkara, division level livestock census master trainer Dr. Hitendra Soni, Senior Veterinary Officer, Deputy Director, Veterinary Services, Korba, organized district level training and hands-on training of software for all 106 enumerators and 15 supervisors of the district on Tuesday at the district panchayat hall in Janjgir.

Deputy Director Veterinary informed that, Livestock Census is conducted by the Government of India in all the states every 5 years. In this series, the 21st Livestock Census is scheduled to be conducted from September 2024 to December 2024. Livestock census mainly includes collecting comprehensive data on livestock population as well as detailed compilation on the population of various livestock species, their breed, age and sex structure, on the basis of which the formulation of the plan provides the necessary information for planning policies, programs and initiatives for the development of the livestock sector. Along with this, identification of trends in livestock areas, method of animal husbandry, unique identification of animals based on the environment is assessed. Under the livestock census, enumerators will go door to door in the villages and wards of the district and do the work of livestock census.
