Under the direction of Collector Akash Chhikara, a well-organized Voter Education and Election Participation (Sweep) program was organized on Tuesday through all the Anganwadi workers, helpers and self-help groups of the district. In the programme, newly married voters were honored and an oath was also administered to make them aware of the voting rights.
District Program Officer Mrs. Anita Aggarwal said that the main objective of this is to make them aware of the voters, tell them the importance of voting and motivate them to vote.
