Korba/Janjgir-Champa, September 9 (HS). Janjgir-Champa police has arrested a quack Bengali doctor who had caused the death of a pregnant woman due to wrong treatment.

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Vivek Shukla and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Rajendra Kumar Jaiswal, the case registered in Navagarh police station was investigated. During the investigation, it was found that the deceased Rukhmani Kashyap, who was four months pregnant, was given wrong treatment by Bengali doctor Dhruvanto Sikdar, due to which she died.

The police have registered a case against the accused doctor under crime number 336/24 section 105 BNS and he has been sent on judicial remand today on Monday. In this case, Inspector Bhaskar Sharma, Police Station Incharge Navagarh, Sub Inspector Santosh Kerketta, Constable Anil Kurre and Balram Yadav made a commendable contribution.
