Janhvi Kapoor is in the news for her upcoming film 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi'. This is a sports drama film. Rajkumar Rao is playing an important role along with Janhvi Kapoor in the film. Janhvi recently said that after the death of her mother Sridevi, she became more religious and started being cautious about every small thing.
Talking about Sridevi in an interview, he said, 'After her mother's death, she started believing in things that others did not pay attention to. She believed that some work should be done or should not be done on a particular date.' Hair should not be cut on Fridays as this prevents Goddess Lakshmi from entering the house. Things like wearing black clothes on Fridays were accepted. I never believed in such superstitions before.
Janhvi further said, 'After his death, I started believing in his beliefs. I don't even know if I was religious and spiritually inclined when he was alive. But after his death we started following those practices because mom used to do it. I think I have succumbed to religion a lot after mom's death.'
Janhvi told that mother Sridevi was a devotee of Tirupati Venkateswara Swamy temple in Andhra Pradesh. Sridevi was saying, Narayana, Narayana. Every year on her birthday she used to go to the temple. However, after marriage she stopped going there. After her death I have decided to go to the temple on her birthday. The first time I did this it was very peaceful.
