Jaipur, September 14 (HS). Bhadrapada Shukla Ekadashi is being celebrated on Saturday as Jal Jhoolani Ekadashi. Jal Jhoolani Ekadashi is being celebrated as Jhoolan Mahotsav in the temple of Shri Govind Devji.
Temple Sevadhikari Manas Goswami said that on the occasion of Jaljhulni Ekadashi festival, Thakur Shreeji was anointed with Panchamrit after Mangala Jhanki in the morning. He was made to wear a new red coloured Natwar costume and special decorations. After Gwal Jhanki, Jaljhulni Puja was performed from 4:45 to 5:35. During this time, Thakur Shreeji's Darshan doors remained closed.
In the presence of Mahant Anjan Kumar Goswami, Thakur Shri Shaligram Ji Bhagwan (Narayan Ji) was seated on a special small silver cot and taken to the Tulsi stage, the south western square of the temple. Here he was anointed with panchamrit along with chanting of Vedic mantras and was decorated with sandalwood. After this aarti was performed and bhog was offered. With the sound waves of Harinam Sankirtan, Thakur Shri Shaligram Ji was made to circumambulate the Tulsi stage four times and then was again seated on the cot. After doing one circumambulation of the temple, he was made to enter his temple. Shaligram Ji was seated close to Thakur Shriji.
