
News India Live, Digital Desk: Foreign minister S Jaishankar On Friday, India said that India will never bow down to nuclear blackmail and those who sponsor terrorism should pay heavy prices.
Speaking at the convocation of foreign students of a private university, Parul University here, he also commented that “open transactions in some fields have become a fashion” in international relations.
The minister said, “Pahalgam (terrorist attack) What we saw was an attempt to destroy the tourism economy of Jammu and Kashmir and at the same time a bad conspiracy to create religious disputes. ”
He said, “The barbarity of murders required an exemplary response, which was destroyed by the terrorist command centers, especially in Bahawalpur and Murid.
Jaishankar said that time has changed and the centers of terrorism are no longer untouched by retaliation. He said that India’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism is manifested by his actions.
The Foreign Minister said, “We will never bow down to nuclear blackmail and whatever decisions are to be taken in India’s national interest, they are being taken and will continue to be taken.”
He said that India reacted to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, “It is happy to see our right to protect itself against terrorism.”
This comment by Jaishankar has come in view of Operation Sindoor, run by the Indian Armed Forces against terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 tourists were killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Commenting on the difference between diplomacy adopted by India and some other countries, Jaishankar mentioned the “transaction” policies of some countries.
He said, “In the international community of about 200 countries, we have national interests and naturally we want to pursue them, but this should be done keeping in mind mutual understanding and mutual profit as guiding principles. Open transactions while behaving with other countries in some areas have become a fashion. Keep in mind that some people are actually practicing it while the deals are really practicing it.”
The minister said that in some societies, emotions and values matter a lot and India also falls in this category. He said, “We have taken into account our great obligation towards the world and international community. Our resources may be limited, but India’s heart is big.”
Jaishankar said that there should be mutual respect for culture, tradition and heritage among partners.He said, “Even though the colonial era is behind us, new forms of supremacy have emerged, which misuse the opportunities provided by globalization, they claim to be judged and decide on our credibility. An example of this is to wrongly interfere in the politics of global South countries.” Jaishankar said that India is a “rare civilization state” which is regaining its proper place in the community of nations today.
