Palamu, August 10 (HS). Palamu District Congress Committee President Jaish Ranjan Pathak alias Bittu Pathak said on Saturday that complaints are coming from people in rural areas every day. Fertilizer supply has been stopped in tribal dominated areas for 3 months. There is anger among consumers and a conspiracy is being hatched to tarnish the image of the Jharkhand government.

The Food Supply Officer is being extremely negligent with the Public Distribution System shopkeeper in Kumbhi Kala Panchayat situated in Nawa Block area by an officer with BJP mentality. Fertilizer supply has been stopped for almost three months in the tribal dominated area, which was complained about by the Congress District President of Tribal Cell Surendra Singh alias Chhotu Singh in writing to Palamu DSO and the concerned officer, but no action has been taken till now. On not taking action after investigation regarding the stoppage of food grains, the District President said that this clearly proves that all the officers from top to bottom are involved in the black marketing of food grains. If they were not involved, the MO would have gone to jail by now. Ration black marketing is not only a matter of Kumbhi Kala, but of many block areas.

There are a total of 32 public distribution system shopkeepers in Nava Bazaar. If 5 pickups are allotted, 2 pickups are sent and they are told to distribute them and send them tomorrow. If the shopkeeper does not issue slips, pressure is exerted to get them issued. If action is not taken on this very soon, we will be forced to launch a violent agitation.
