Jaipur, September 23 (HS). Jaipur residents ran for a healthy heart on Monday. The occasion was the 10K run, Run for Heart, organized by CK Birla Hospital and Decathlon. More than 1200 participants took part in this run. The run was held in three, five and ten kilometers. Before this, people did stretching for the race by doing some fitness training including Zumba dance. All the participants who took part in the race were given medals and prizes by CK Birla Hospital and Decathlon. The race started from CK Birla Hospital, which passed through Maharani Farm, Shipra Path and from there, passing near a private school, ended at CK Birla Hospital via Riddhi Siddhi Chauraha. On this occasion, experts also gave tips to people to keep their heart healthy.

Senior cardiac surgeon of the hospital Dr. Alok Mathur and senior interventional cardiologist Dr. Sanjib Roy and Dr. Amit Gupta gave information related to the heart. They said that cases of heart diseases are increasing continuously all over the world. Nowadays heart diseases are being seen even in young people. Actually, bad eating habits, inactive lifestyle and stress are considered to be the main causes of heart diseases. Heart diseases can be prevented by stress management, regular physical activity, healthy diet and regular checkup after a certain age.
