Hamirpur, July 4 (HS). Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that Chief Minister Sukhu is going through difficult circumstances. He is disturbed by the situation. He is accusing the BJP of ignoring Hamirpur. He himself has been the Chief Minister for 18 months but has not been able to start a single development work in Hamirpur. Government offices, hospitals and colleges started during the tenure of the BJP have been closed. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said in Hamirpur on Thursday that the offices of Jal Shakti Department, PWD and Electricity Board have been denotified in Bhoranj, Naidun and Sujanpur.
He said that BJP will win all three by-elections. The number of BJP MLAs is continuously increasing in the state. The court will soon give its decision on the appointment of CPS. These by-elections can be held along with the Lok Sabha elections but the elections are being held later to influence the elections through the government machinery. The Congress government and CM Sukhu are responsible for spending crores of rupees in the elections.
On the question of defeat in by-elections on four seats, Jai Ram said that it will be discussed. On the question of Income Tax raid in Naidun, he expressed ignorance.
On the question of the claim of forming the government after the by-elections, Jairam Thakur said that India Alliance had also said that they will form the government but the political turmoil in the Congress in the state has not stopped. The demand for change of leadership in the Congress is still in full swing. The Congress committee is coming to Himachal to get a report on the bad defeat of the state Congress in the Lok Sabha elections.
He said that the force of action was shown to the MLAs and hence he is in the elections for the self-respect of the people.
