Siddharthnagar, June 4 (HS). Jagdambika Pal has succeeded in winning the election from Dumariyaganj Lok Sabha constituency for the fourth consecutive time. In this election, he defeated his nearest rival SP candidate Bhishma Shankar alias Kushal Tiwari by 43704 votes.
For the first time in 2004, Jagdambika Pal contested the election from Dumariyaganj Lok Sabha constituency from Congress party. But he could not succeed in winning the election. In 2009, he again contested the election from Congress party. He won this election. Before the 2014 election, he joined BJP. BJP made him their candidate. Due to Modi wave, he succeeded in winning the election. Trusting him, BJP again made him a candidate in 2019.
He won the election this time too. The party bet on him for the third time in the 2024 elections. This time too he has defeated his nearest rival Bhishma Shankar alias Kushal Tiwari of SP by 43704 votes. Pal got 461186 votes in this election and Bhishma Shankar alias Kushal Tiwari got 417324 votes and Azad Samaj Party candidate Chaudhary Amar Singh got 80857 votes and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Muhammad Nadeem Mirza got 35565 votes, Naushad Azam of Peace Party got 5127 votes, Kiran Devi got 3245 votes. While 9406 people pressed the NOTA button.
