Jagannath Yatra… Gurugram reverberated with the chants of Hare Rama Hare Krishna

Gurugram, June 7 (HS). ISKCON organized a Lord Jagannath Yatra in the city on Sunday. This yatra started from ISKCON temple in Sector-45 and passed through many areas of new and old Gurugram.

Devotees associated with ISKCON and local religious people participated in this procession and paid their respects to Lord Jagannath. This procession started from Sector 40 and 31 market and reached Siddheshwar temple via Jharssa, Patel Nagar, Agrawal Dharamshala, Gurudwara Road. Devotees were pulling the chariot themselves after seating Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra in the huge chariot decorated with flowers, leaves and ribbons.

A large number of devotees from abroad also joined the devotees. All the devotees were seen chanting Hare Rama Hare Krishna. Amazing enthusiasm was seen among the devotees pulling the chariot. They were seen waiting to pull the chariot. Devotees dressed in various costumes were seen dancing in the Rath Yatra. ISKCON Temple President Achyuta Haridas said that the artists added glory to the Jagannath Rath Yatra by presenting cultural programs. The main attraction of the Yatra was the 56 offerings given to Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra through a crane which was the center of attraction for the people.

The city dwellers also welcomed the Jagannath Rath Yatra with open heart by showering flowers at various places. The city dwellers gathered on both sides of the roads to see the Rath Yatra.

They also prayed for the fulfillment of their wishes by worshipping Lord Jagannath. The district administration had made adequate arrangements to ensure that there is no disruption in the Rath Yatra. The traffic was also diverted on the route of the Yatra so that the traffic is not disrupted and the drivers do not face any problems. A large number of police personnel were deployed. Senior police officers were also seen taking moment-to-moment information about the Rath Yatra. Women also participated in this Rath Yatra in large numbers. They won everyone's heart by presenting Dandiya dance.
