Jacqueline did not appear despite ED summons in money laundering case

Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate again sent summons to film actress Jacqueline Fernandez in the 200 crore money laundering case and asked her to appear today. However, Jacqueline did not appear before the ED today. She made the excuse that she was not well.

According to the Enforcement Directorate, some more evidence has been found against Jacqueline. Therefore, further interrogation has become necessary.

However, even after a whole day passed, Jacqueline did not appear before the ED. Instead, her legal team reached the ED office. They told ED officials that Jacqueline will not be able to come today due to ill health.

After Jacqueline's absence, ED may issue summons against her on a new date.

The ED has already questioned Jacqueline five times in this case. A chargesheet has also been filed against her in this case and some of her properties have also been confiscated.

According to ED's allegations, Jacqueline knew that Sukesh had taken money through criminal means, yet she continued to receive expensive gifts from Sukesh. In this way, she helped Sukesh misuse his criminal earnings and became his accomplice in money laundering.
