Jabalpur, 22 April (HS). After the Lok Sabha elections, EVMs and VVPATs have been kept in the strong room established in the administrative building of Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University. The key to the fate of 19 candidates of Jabalpur is locked in these EVM machines. CCTV cameras have been installed all around this strong room. The LED screen installed outside is being monitored through these cameras. Police force is deployed here under tight security 24 hours a day. Besides, political party workers are also keeping an eye.
District Election Officer Deepak Saxena has imposed duty of several executive magistrates to keep a 24-hour vigil, which will run roster wise. Along with this, Assistant Returning Officers are ordered to personally inspect twice a day i.e. in the morning and evening. This strong room is being protected in three ways. Mainly Central Armed Security Forces personnel have been deployed in it. BJP candidate Ashish Dubey and Congress candidate Dinesh Yadav along with Collector Deepak Saxena and SP Aditya Pratap Singh took stock of the security arrangements of the strong room on Monday.
