Jabalpur, 15 November (HS). On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, Bharatiya Janata Party, Jabalpur metropolis, remembered his works and contribution to the tribal society and the country by garlanding the statue of Lord Birsa Munda at Birsa Munda Chowk located at the metropolitan base. He described loyalty, sacrifice and bravery towards the motherland as a symbol of the integrity of India and described the ideals of Lord Birsa Munda as inspiring.
Paying tribute to the contribution of Lord Birsa Munda, he said that when India was being oppressed during the foreign rule, Lord Birsa Munda fought to protect the rights and freedom of his community. Today the country is celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of the great tribal warrior Lord Birsa Munda, who fought for the survival of the tribals, water, forests and land of the British. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has named this special day, 15th November, as National Tribal Pride Day. The event is being organized as per his wish for the last several years.
