Jabalpur: Judge dismisses petition after lawyer speaks untruth in High Court

Jabalpur, May 11 (HS) During the hearing of a case in Madhya Pradesh High Court, the judge rejected the petition of the petitioner after the lawyer said untruth. The matter is that a petition was filed by Care Health Insurance Gurugram against a woman from Jabalpur. During the hearing, another advocate Mayank Jat appearing for the petitioner submitted that the advocates who had to argue had gone to Jaipur. On this basis, he should be given the next date of appearance in this case.

On the request of the advocate, Judge GG Ahluwalia told the advocate that if the advocate has gone to Jaipur, then during his journey, it should be confirmed that he has gone out by showing the train or flight ticket or any document from the toll booth lying on the way. 10 minutes later, in the re-hearing of the case, another advocate from the petitioner's side, Sameer Vyavar, told the judge that the arguing advocates have not gone out anywhere and what advocate Mayank Jat has said before the court is untrue.

After this, Judge GS Ahluwalia said in his order that it is a shocking matter that a false excuse was made by the council to proceed with the hearing. This petition is dismissed on the basis of telling lies before the court and the petitioner is ordered to deposit Rs 5,000 in this court within a month. If the petitioner does not deposit this amount within a month, then along with initiating proceedings to recover this amount, a case of contempt of court should also be filed against the petitioner.
