Jabalpur High Court ordered re-investigation of nursing colleges

Jabalpur, May 28 (HS) After the collusion of CBI officers with college operators in the nursing scam came to light, the High Court again heard the case on Tuesday. The High Court expressed disappointment over the irregularities committed by the CBI officers in this case and ordered a fresh investigation.

The High Court has said that the nursing colleges which were given a clean chit by the CBI in its investigation and declared suitable and which were submitted in the High Court, will be investigated afresh. The High Court has also ordered changes in the investigation team. Apart from this, the judicial magistrate of the concerned district will also be present during the entire investigation and the entire investigation will be videographed. A copy of the report which will be submitted to the High Court after the investigation will also be made available to the petitioner, so that he can match the facts of this entire investigation with the data available with him and present his side in the High Court.

It is noteworthy that the Nursing Council had submitted an application in Tuesday's hearing and sought permission from the High Court to start the recognition process for the session 2024-25. The petitioner expressed objection to this and said that the new rules made by the government are not according to the national standards, hence the recognition process should not be done according to them. After hearing the arguments, the High Court clarified that the recognition process will be done as per the old rules only. On the basis of this condition, the High Court has allowed the Nursing Council to start the recognition process of colleges for the session 2024-25.
