Jabalpur: Hearing on Emergency film will be held in MP High Court on September 3 | News India

Jabalpur, 2 September (HS). A PIL has been filed in the Madhya Pradesh High Court against the film Emergency, regarding which the High Court has issued notice to Manikarnika film, Central Board of Film Certification and other respondents. The hearing on this petition has been scheduled for September 3. The most important thing is that the court has kept this hearing on the top of the list i.e. in the list of priorities.

Advocate NS Rooprah, on behalf of the petitioner, argued before the court that the Sikh community has been misrepresented in the trailer of the film. Amritdhari coins have been shown firing guns and doing violent activities. He said that the film also contains many controversial dialogues through which an attempt is being made to portray the Sikh community as pro-Khalistan, whereas it is not hidden from anyone that the Sikh community works with the spirit of social charity and other services. Along with this, the name of Sikhs is leading in serving in the Indian Army. He says that the word Ram has been pronounced 2500 times in the Sikh religious text. An attempt is being made to create differences between Sikhism and Hinduism through this film.

On the other hand, the advocate on behalf of the government told the court that the case of this film was also heard in Punjab and Haryana, after which the censor board has assured to reconsider the certification of the film and take action. Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, who was hearing the case, praised the spirit of service of the Sikh community. Giving the example of the time of Corona epidemic in Delhi, he said that the way the Sikh community served the people is commendable.

No advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the defendants, due to which the court has issued notice to Kangana Ranaut and seven other defendants. This notice will also be sent to the defendants through electronic medium. The next hearing in this case will be on Tuesday, September 3.
