Jabalpur, 9 April (HS). On Tuesday, on the instructions of the Collector, five SDMs conducted an investigation at different places to check book sellers in the entire district. Many irregularities have come to light in the investigation of book sellers. Among the actions taken by different SDMs, Gorakhpur SDM Pankaj Srivastava conducted investigation at Sangam Book Depot. Where as an irregularity, books of the same publication with the same syllabus were found in different names. These different courses were also the same but there was a difference of Rs 100 in their rates. This book was from Friends Publications.
SDM Pankaj Srivastava said that on the instructions of Collector Deepak Saxena, the ISBN numbers of all the books from class 1 to 12 are being checked. During investigation many ISBN numbers were found to be fake. Meanwhile, Adhartal SDM Shivali Singh's team conducted investigation at Radhika Book Palace. Along with this, the team of Jabalpur SDM Abhishek Singh Thakur investigated another institution of Radhika Book Palace. SDM Patan Manvendra Singh inspected the third institute of Radhika Book Palace located in Rampur. Meanwhile, SDM Ranchi Raghuveer Singh inspected the Children's Book Depot. These five SDMs have prepared the investigation report into the irregularities found in these book shops which will probably be handed over to the Collector. After this, further action will be taken by Collector Jabalpur. Some book operators have alleged that books of big schools in the city are available at select places. In which Radhika Book and Children Book Depot are prominent. However, this action taken on the instructions of the Collector is causing panic. The same parents are happy with this action of the collector.
