Mumbai: Self-defence lessons will be taught to girl students in Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state. For this, 'Har Ghar Durga' campaign will be run. In which two hours per week will be reserved for girl students. Students will be given training in Karate-Judo etc.
Under the Har Ghar Durga Abhiyan, self-defense training will be provided to girl students in every ITI of the state throughout the year. As per the physical education lectures of schools and colleges, some period will be fixed for self-defense for the students in ITI. This campaign will be run with the aim of empowering the girl students to face emergency and challenging situations. The help of local voluntary organizations will be taken for this training.
The said campaign will enhance the physical and mental abilities of the girl students and will increase their self-confidence. Countless women like Rajmata Jijabai, Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar have contributed to the security and progress of this land. 'Har Ghar Durga' campaign will be launched in Maharashtra to empower the girl students to fight in every situation keeping in mind the ideals of women.
